I bought this boot for working inside to keep my feet dry. All of the other Bogs boots are rated down to -40 and I didn't need something that warm as I am inside where it is warm. I have now used this boot many times and it is comfortable all day without making my feet hot. This boot is designed much different than other Bogs boots I have owned. The entire boot is made of the same material, so it is 100% waterproof. I have full confidence that unless you get water over the top these are completely waterproof and way more comfortable than other, cheaper rubber boots. Your feet will not get hot in these boots working in normal room temperature. The sole is also well built and my feet were comfortable all day in these. This is a more industrial boot, the inside is not quite as soft and smooth as other Bogs boots, you can tell the inside is durable and will last for a very long time. I would recommend that you wear a pair of long socks in these boots as the inside finish is a little more on the rough side and doesn't feel so comfortable on bare skin. This is a working boot, not a fashion boot. The upper is interesting as you can roll it down; it is made of a flexible material that is not as stiff as other Bogs boots. The opening at the top is also quite wide. This boot was obviously made for tucking your pant legs into it. I prefer my pants outside the boot, and this works fine as well. If you do a lot of work with water in a place that is warm and you want a boot that is comfortable, built for hard work and not fashion, this is a great boot. If you want a boot that is warm, looks nice and is soft and fashionable, they have plenty of other boots for that too.I work in a brewery and wanted something that would keep my feet dry, but cool, and be good on slippery surfaces. These have so far met all those needs very well. However, after only 6 weeks, the sole is starting to delaminate from the upper. I've just patched the seam with some appropriate repair goo, so we'll see if it gets any worse. If it fails completely, I'll return to Bogs.Other thing to note is all the tiny little squares on the sole are great for traction on wet surfaces, but can be ripped off quite easily if you're not careful. My work environment is generally smooth concrete, but I turned a corner no the floor grate and tore a big chunk out. So beware. These boots are comfy and well designed, but the quality seems to be a bit dodgy. Time will tell if they last. If not, back to my XtraTuf fishing boots (8 years of serious abuse and still going). After reading reviews I added a half size up when I ordered and I am glad I did. The width was a little tight but I can work with it fine.I work on an epoxy resin floor in the Deli the life of any footwear is 3-5 months tops. I make 3-5 thousand steps a day so I have to haveGood traction as well as comfort and water protection because I close and spray the floors with a hose. These boots have been great in all those areas. I added a Timberland Outlast foot support and I am a happy camper they are very well made. : )These Food Pro Mid boots run small. I wear a women's 7.5m and in order to find the correct men's size, I rounded up to 8, then subtracted by 2 sizes = 6m in mens. If anything I wondered if the boots would be too large. They arrived and looked a good size. However when I slid my feet into the boots, I discovered the boots were too small. I tried it on with thin socks. How odd these boots would be narrow since men have wider feet than women, on average! The boots apparently have a bit of padding in its shape, making the foot bed more narrow than what appears just looking at the wide toe looking boots. It's also narrow at the toes and there was something that rubbed the back of my ankles, so I'm sending it back. The shoes looked nice, however from the ankle and up was so wide they looked funny on my husbands leg. He would have liked them in a style other than the boot, but that was unavaliableSize runs small!Have split at the seam between the upper and the sole after wearing for less than 18 months.Love the fit but they started leaking and wet feet are no fun.
