This bag is awesome.High quality and built well.Based on the description and reviews I thought you would need 1 bag per pair of skis.Nope … I bought 2 bags but only need 1 … my skis and poles and my wife’s skis and poles will easily fit into just 1 bag. Yes … this bag is plenty big enough for 2 sets of skis and 2 sets of poles … and yes … still way under the airline 50lbs limit. My skis are 173’s and my wife’s are 168” and still plenty of length and width for longer and wider .Has been great for storage, travel, keeping all components together, and fits everything I could need for a trip (I got the 163cm for the extra room).Skis and equipment fit great with the interior boot bag and rollers makes it easier to travel with. Make sure you buy the bag that fits the length of your skis. The carrying case worked great and protected my equipment. I wish there were some Velcro straps inside to keep the skis together individually. I used some bubble wrap to keep them from hitting each other. The rollers are nice and plenty of handles to pick the bag up. Well made. One trip to Seattle for skiing and it got a hole on the bottom of it. Still works fine though. So 4 stars. Wish I would have gotten a hard case instead.High quality bag, no frills. Front pocket doesn’t fit much maybe some sandals. Also, nothing to hold down skis so there is some flex. High quality wheels and also the material seems waterproof which is importantJust returned after flying this bag to Breckinridge, CO. I chose to remove the bindings (rail systems) and pack those separately. This way I was able to fit 4 pairs of skis (between 150cm and 181cm) and 4 sets of poles, including towels to pad, and keep this bag under 50 lbs. You always have to cross your fingers with baggage handling, but mine came home in good shape. The bag rolls best when filled to avoid sagging, so I inserted ski helmets at both ends. This is only to alert those purchasing this bag that Dakine apparently made 2 versions of this same bag. One with 2 exterior pockets, and one with only 1 exterior pocket. I received the 1 pocket version. I am not returning to get the 2 pocket version as I do not think it is necessary to have anyway. I doubt I will even use the one. First impressions: Nice tough material, zippers are smooth and sturdy, wheels are a good size and should not pose any issues, but I will know more once I get this bag on its first journey. I know many complain there are no straps to secure inside, but I do not see that as an issue for how I will use this bag. My goal is to get this packed lean so that I do not have to have a second checked bag for other clothes. I have an Osprey Snowkit that will board the plane with me that will have my boots, helmet, and other essentials. The Dakine bag is for skis, poles, and misc clothes for a week long trip to MT. It does come with a boot bag, but I will use that for shoes, etc.Perfect for packing for a ski trip, takes the hassle out of getting a ski bag round the airport and protects your gear brilliantly.Excellent product & serviceexcellent bagGreat bag. We used this on a recent ski trip for the plane. Very roomy. It fit 2 pairs of adult skis, my 8 year old daughter’s boots and skis, 3 sets of ski poles, a jacket and 3 pairs of ski pants. Then for the trip home we squished in a second pair of kids skis. Quality construction and the roller wheels are great for the airport.Great service and product!
