These are very comfortable, I feel secure in them as far as the slip resistance goes. I feel like the arch support has helped my planter faciitus. They have held up under my weight as well. Most shoes I can tell after wearing them for an hour that they aren't gonna make it. Not these, they are doing very well!!!!! I run from am 8.5 to 9. I ordered a 9 and they are perfect. I wear thin socks, but I feel like I'd have enough room to wear thicker socks.
