I have gone through a lot of boots, a lot. Justins, red wings, timberland, HH, Tony lama, Laredo, Durango, rocky, and on and on. I'm over 300 LBS, work at a hog farm, and am extremely hard on footwear. Pain from the small of my back to the tips of my mishapened toes is normally a foregone conclusion. I don't yet know of their durability, and hope to get back to you on that, but these are easily, when paired with Dr scholls new soles for big men, the most comfortable boots I have ever worn, period. In fact, outside my slippers and the kamiks I got for hunting, I can't think of any shoes I have ever worn that are more comfortable. Aside from a few products I but that simply work or not, I am very stingy with 5star rating. These are awesome. Reduced pain has even made my timberlands more comfortable (I still wear them about every three days, keeps everything dry). About a month on the farm and the show little wear. Tread could be more aggressive for my job and loses some of its bite as manure really clings but haven't slipped yet and that includes ice. Fits a bit large (extremely rare for me) but the insoles take out most of that for me and some might wear winter socks with them. Very warm, but they fold down and still fit under most of my pants and are cooler. Tops don't chafe so I can wear them up and under my slacks if it's cold and they go comfortably over my pants for washing and whatnot. One design flaw, that pull lip on the heel is borderline useless and I recommend a bootpuller. If these last more than six months I will consider them a good buy, a year and I will be ecstatic. If I find them tolerable I will wear them into the summer, if they prove too hot but durable I will get another pair and cut the old ones short. Unless kamik makes a less insulated version.
